Come DRAW with fellow New Yorkers at this special open-air art studio presented in partnership with The Drawing Center. Teaching Artist Ada Pilar Cruz guides the public in drawing activities inspired by The Drawing Center’s 2018-19 exhibit, For Opacity, featuring the work of artists Elijah Burgher, Toyin Ojih Odutola, and Nathaniel Mary Quinn. Hosted by The Brotherhood/Sister Sol. This iteration of Draw Now! with The Drawing Center is made possible by The Robert Rauschenberg Foundation. The Drawing Center’s Education and Community Programs are made possible by the May and Samuel Rudin Family Foundation, Inc. Major support is provided by The Evelyn Toll Family Foundation. Additional support is provided, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council, and the Milton and Sally Avery Arts Foundation. It is also part of a Street Lab/Uni Project series called “Pop-Up West Harlem!” made possible by the West Harlem Development Corporation. DRAW is made possible citywide in part by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council and the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
