Uni at the Central Park Zoo: DrawNow! Field Station (Manhattan)

Draw from specimens! Learn how ecologist William Beebe and his team of scientists worked side by side with artists to illustrate ecosystems in their South America jungle laboratories and Caribbean oceanographic workshops during the 1920s–1930s. Presented by The Drawing Center, Wildlife Conservation Society, and The Uni Project in conjuction with The Drawing Center’s exhibition, Exploratory Works: Drawings from the Department of Tropical Research Field Expeditions, on view April 14 – July 16. Uni participation made possible in party by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council, and by public funds from Creative Engagement, supported by New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and administered by the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council.
