Come play and make chalk murals on four Wednesdays on Blake Ave between Rockaway Ave and Mother Gaston Blvd, an Open Street in Brooklyn. PLAY NYC features a colorful obstacle course that offers safe, hands-free play for children on closed-off streets, and Street Marker offers a way for multiple people to make beautiful chalk patterns and murals together. On two Wednesdays (Aug 4 and Aug 11), we’ll be joined by the Ai Murakami jazz trio thanks to Gotham Yardbird Sanctuary. Thanks to our host in this location, Brownsville Community Justice Center.
Made possible with funding from the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Safety and in-kind support from NYC DOT.
