Come PLAY and make chalk murals on three Saturdays in August on Shore Ave between Remington St (Henry Grate Sr. Pl) and Pinegrove St, a special, temporary Open Street in Queens. PLAY NYC features a colorful obstacle course that offers safe, hands-free play for children on closed-off streets, and Street Marker offers a way for multiple people to make beautiful chalk patterns and murals together. Special activities led by mural artist msfigeroux! Thanks to our host in this location, Dunton Community Garden.
Made possible with funding and in-kind support from NYC DOT. Street Lab cultural programs are supported by public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature, and citywide by the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council. Additional support from Con Edison Arts Al Fresco.
We’re excited to return to this block, where we brought our Uni reading room in 2013!
All of our events are wheelchair accessible. Please contact us with questions about accessibility.
