Come play, make chalk murals, and explore urban nature on 90th Ave between 191st St and 192nd St, a special, pilot Open Street in front of PS 35 in Queens. PLAY NYC features a colorful obstacle course that offers safe, hands-free play for children on closed-off streets, and Street Marker offers a way for multiple people to make beautiful chalk patterns and murals together. EXPLORE is a hands-on urban nature station. Thanks to our host in this location, PS 35 Nathaniel Woodhull School. Made possible with funding from NYC DOT. Street Lab cultural programs are supported in part by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Kathy Hochul and the New York State Legislature, and citywide by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council. Additional support from Con Edison Arts Al Fresco.
