Come play and make chalk murals on Hill Street every Thursday between Tompkins St and Warren St, a NYC Open Street, in Staten Island. PLAY NYC features a colorful obstacle course that offers safe, hands-free play for children on closed-off streets, and Street Marker offers a way for multiple people to make beautiful chalk patterns and murals together. With special activities led by Teaching Artist KLeyko (on 7/15, 8/5, 8/12, and 8/19). Thanks to our host at this location, Staten Island Justice Center.
Made possible by the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Safety. Street Lab cultural programs are supported in part by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature, and citywide by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council. With additional support from ConEdison Arts Al Fresco.
