One Big Bench

Communal bench for NYC streets

Street Lab uses pop-up to bring New Yorkers together, sometimes with an idea as simple as a place to sit. One Big Bench is a modular, scalable solution that offers seating on streets, plazas, parks, and public spaces across the city. Designed by Street Lab’s Hannah Berkin-Harper and developed with support from Pratt Center for Community Engagement and NYC Dept. of Small Business Services, One Big Bench incorporates input from families and seniors at the 34th Ave Open Street in Queens. Check our calendar to see One Big Bench in action, or contact us to learn more.
