On July 27, the Uni created an open-air reading room on Corona Plaza—our third and final visit this year. In 2014, we continued our longstanding partnership with Queens Museum as they brought community-oriented programs to this emerging public space. Our work on this plaza was made possible in part by funds granted by the Charles H. Revson Foundation through the Neighborhood Plaza Partnership and Penguin Random House. Thanks to Uni volunteers Luis Aguilar Moreno and Jamie Burns and to illustrator Carla Torres, who read aloud from her book Larry and Friends.
