The Uni portable reading room landed at the second annual AmpLit Festival, a co-production of Lamprophonic and Summer on the Hudson (NYC Parks) which brings authors of all backgrounds, styles, and levels of recognition to center stage on the W. 70th St Pier in Riverside Park South. Uni Project participation made possible in part with funding provided by the Manhattan Community Award Program (MCAP) through the Office of Manhattan Borough President Gale A. Brewer.

About our “new” name… Street Lab.

Street Lab began in Boston in 2006. In 2011, we moved the organization to NYC and launched the Uni Project, which was a portable reading room that roamed the city. In 2020, we are re-introducing our original name Street Lab to tie all this work together going forward, with much more to come.
