The Uni portable reading room landed on Dekalb Ave (literally) for another great NYC DOT Weekend Walk, hosted by Save Our Streets Bed-Stuy. Reading and hanging out toether, where there are usually cars. I’ll take more of that please, NYC. Uni Project participation made possible in part with funds from The Charles H. Revson Foundation.

Uni Program Coordinator Arli Cornejal makes good on our promise to be a reading room for all ages.

Kids like to pose with books they’ve read, books they like. Pride.

We’ve added elements from our SOLVE program to the Uni reading room that travels to NYC DOT Weekend Walks.

Thanks Bed Stuy. See you soon!

About our “new” name… Street Lab.

Street Lab began in Boston in 2006. In 2011, we moved the organization to NYC and launched the Uni Project, which was a portable reading room that roamed the city. In 2020, we are re-introducing our original name Street Lab to tie all this work together going forward, with much more to come.
