Today our program DRAW NYC landed at a NYC DOT Weekend Walk hosted by the Myrtle Avenue BID in Ridgewood. We set up next to staff from Blick and had help from two great volunteers, Lauren and Cathrine, from the engineering firm WSP. (Thank you!) Participation was made possible by NYC DOT with support from Blick Art Materials. DRAW NYC is made possible citywide in part by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.

About our “new” name… Street Lab.

Street Lab began in Boston in 2006. In 2011, we moved the organization to NYC and launched the Uni Project, which was a portable reading room that roamed the city. In 2020, we are re-introducing our original name Street Lab to tie all this work together going forward, with much more to come.
