And here’s our year-end letter update with photos and highlights of 2017.

We’ve come to the end of our 2017 season—146 days of outdoor reading rooms, drawing stations, and other learning environments across NYC. We couldn’t have done it without your support.

To keep things rolling into 2018, we’ve created a special fund drive to raise $10,000 by Dec. 31 to fund pop-up reading rooms at every low-income playground on our wait list. And we want to do it with small donations—people helping people.

Please read about our plan and consider a year-end donation. Your support sends a powerful, visible message about what a city can be—for kids, for everyone.

About our “new” name… Street Lab.

Street Lab began in Boston in 2006. In 2011, we moved the organization to NYC and launched the Uni Project, which was a portable reading room that roamed the city. In 2020, we are re-introducing our original name Street Lab to tie all this work together going forward, with much more to come.
