Today, the Uni Project returned to Washington Square Park to create an open-air exhibit about urban nature in the northwest corner of the park. We called it EXPLORE NYC, and our focus today was urban birds, presented in partnership with Washington Square Park Eco Projects. Passersby could examine bird specimens and try their hand at biological drawing. We’ll return every week for the next month, schedule here. Next up is our open-air art studio with an artist-in-residence, called DRAW NYC. Made possible with funds contributed by Washington Square Park Conservancy, City Parks Foundation, and the NYU Community Fund. Thanks also to our individual supporters, donors large and small, who help us make a place for learning in the Village.
