Creating new Open Streets next to NYC schools

Catch a video on BronxNet about one of several Open Streets that Street Lab helped create next to NYC schools in 2022. Our goal is to help communities create new public spaces that support kids and families, right in the heart of neighborhoods. This work is part of Street Lab’s city-wide partnership with NYC Department of Transportation.

After visiting the Open Street in front of PS 32, created together with Equity Design and Bronx Health REACH, one parent said, “This is the first time we stopped on this street, you know that? I hope they keep doing this. I would like to keep doing this.”
