NYC School Streets

Street Lab works with schools in New York City to transform adjacent streets into temporary pedestrian spaces that support the health, safety, and happiness of kids, families, and residents. School streets provide dynamic new space for community-building, after-school activities, and learning outside school walls.

Get Started!

School Streets are officially NYC DOT Open Streets. Street Lab is committed to helping schools and other organizations create successful NYC Open Streets through our Open Streets Development process.
